So there I was.........

.....sitting in the dining room, getting a-talking to, wishing I could have an exciting week, but everything looked like it was going to be boring. When afternoon recess finally came, I decided to help momma by cleaning the out side of our skylight on the roof. I found that to be most enjoyable! I slid down the roof, and did something with my sneakers. (I can't find them now dad-gumit!!!) I was in the hall way when I looked up into our 18 foot ceiling to see how momma was doing with cleaning the inside of the skylight. To my utter horror, I saw the ladder was falling! I rushed forward and tried to steady the ladder. Momma called Ruth to help me, but after she said that the ladder fell. Momma tried to hold onto the skylight sill, but down she came. She fell on the ladder on her back, I know that much. Next thing I know I am moaning on the floor and Neo (my right hand when bad things happen) is screaming out at me "momma is moaning!". I got up and walked over to momma. She was laying in a huge puddle of blood, which made me a little nervous.
Ruth came into the room and cried out "is she dead?!?!?!?" "No!!!!!!!!!" I screamed. After that things got a little weird. In the first place momma had no memory of what she was she was doing the past few hours, second, she told me to cancel the ambulance, third, she did not want me to call doctor Moeller (I made an executive decision to be a bad girl and call him anyway :), fourth, Taevee didn't know what was going on and kept on trying to comfort momma, fifth, I was finding it extremely hard not to cry (not just because my momma was in extreme pain and I didn't know what to do, besides put ice packs on her, but because I had hurt my arm), sixth, I was wishing I could send the kids out, but I knew that would be very mean, and finally, my Aunt Ellen and daddy got there seconds apart. With much difficulty Daddy and Aunt Ellen got momma into the car. I called Mrs. Heather Duley to ask her to call some people to pray. I went to the hospital with momma and daddy. They put her on one of those bed with wheels. When we in the ER, I looked over to see Mr. Lanny. I soon learned that the news had spread all over the state! I purposely did not call Meme (my grandma) but, she found out! When I saw her I said " Aunt Ellen called you?!?!" "Yeah"
Fifty-million X-rays later, we were going home with no broken bones! It is now Friday and momma is still in a lot of pain, but is walking :)

Neo's random thoughts

I was on the computer a minute ago and Neo came up to me a told me this weird story he made up

It went like this, "There once was this man, who always snored up a storm. One night, his kids put a whistle in his mouth and very time he exhaled the whistle would sound. The first night on the first sound of the whistle, he woke up in a startle and covered his ears. The second night, the kids put the whistle in his mouth again, when the whistle blasted his wife turned over, and said "who set the alarm clock?!?!" and smacked him in the face. The third night, the kids came down to put the whistle in again, but saw that their dad had put tape over his mouth. THE END "

I can't wait until spring!

Over the past few weeks I have been studying herb books and have gotten really motivated. I am determined to make some herbal creams, all kinds of herbal oils, some herbal soap, some herbal shampoo, and if I can figure out how to,.... conditioner. But, to be able to do all those things, I most have herbs! Imagine that!

Last year we made an attempt to try to grow the herbs in pots, but it did not go well it at all! The cat stomped on the seedlings, when they got to be little plants the chickens started to enjoy them, then the ones that made it to be good sized plants, the dogs killed! This February I am going to do it all over again!
Any ideas about have to keep the seedlings alive?!?!?!?!?!?!

Realizations over the past weeks

  1. I to love eat!
  2. I love chicken n' dumplings
  3. I hate the person who wrote my botany book
  4. I like to do things that I don't understand
  5. I like to read complicated science books
  6. I hate the words "so what"
  7. Every soup that is good has onions! (I hate onions!)
  8. Taevee REALLY needs a hair cut
  9. Ruth is turning into a teenager, loves to argue, and always loses
  10. I love and hate darts
  11. I love the bow, but stink at it
  12. Everything I ever want to do requires research, and that's reading, and I hate reading!
  13. Food, inc was really good movie! You should ask your parents to get it for you
  14. I really do not like feel-good movies or feel-dirty-inside movies
  15. I miss my cousins
  16. My friends are nothing like me
  17. Facebook is kinda boring
  18. Most teenaged girls want to be models, actors, or some girly stuff like that, while Ruth and I are wanting to learn how to shoot the bow, or learn how to shoot the gun very well, or learn how to hunt, or (in Ruth's case) learn how to cook really well.
  19. I was fascinated with the name Potitphar
  20. Hallel is always talking. Sometimes she will be talking in an imaginary phone, to an imaginary person about boyfriends, going out to eat, going to the mall, having babies, or how stuck-up this one person is. (I find that those conversations quite funny)

Fun, fun

Today I was watching a host of birds outside our window. I was looking at them with binoculars, when I got a crazy idea. I got the camera and took some pretty good pictures through the binoculars. That's pretty crazy. Then I saw a very interesting looking bird. I kept on talking to daddy about it for at least fifteen minutes. Then I handed him the binoculars and pointed him in the direction the bird was in. When he found it, he started telling me about everything I had been telling him. Then I realized, that the whole time I was talking to him, he was not listening........... Daddies!
There were a lot of this kind of bird
And this is the bird I was talking about
I never got a good picture of it because it would never stay still!!!!!!
I love this one! It's so pretty

Oh! Poor me. (to my men readers, you might not want to read this :)

Friday I went with Daddy and Neo to Excelsior. After I sat (and listened) through two of Pastor John's classes, Daddy and I went to Barnes and Noble. To our great surprise, it had not opened yet. So, we went in to the Mall. To my utter horror, I found out I really, really, really like the mall. I felt soooooo.........so......so normal. I was crushed! I got used to the idea that I liked clothes, (which, I even hated at the age of twelve) but to like the mall, was so sad! Saturday, I got called a young-un. I smiled inside, and thought "I'm not that old yet". 'Course I'll be 15 soon. Which is close to seventeen, and in my mind, that is the age I become a young woman, and with that everything else. Which is sad, because ever since I was a little girl I avoided going up. So, today I kissed my youth goodbye.

12 hours later

My burn is not that bad at all today (must be the herbal salve) I am washing it my with my plantain tincture, and it is working wonderfully! I still can't walk on it, the pressure of that makes it hurt :( If I try, I might bust the skin open. But be assured, I am in no pain!

Hot

I burnt the flipping tar out of foot! I stepped on our fire poker. I wondered what the pain in my foot was and then I smelled burnt flesh. I yelped and ran out of the room. Daddy asked me what was wrong, "Nothing!" I said quite quickly. On my way to my room to get my herbal burn salve, (that I made) I heard Neo scream, "Oh! Burnt foot!" (he smelled burnt flesh) "There goes my secrecy," I thought. Why didn't I want anyone to know? I didn't want commercial burn cream on it! I wanted to go with what God gave me!!!!!!

Trying to stay warm

All of of the rooms in our house are 40 degrees, except two: the new living room and the dining room. And those rooms are pretty much one room, separated by a wall a foot wide.

My room is about 30 degrees! (and they wonder why I don't get out of my warm cozy bed) Ruth and Neo told me to came to the pond. When I got there, the whole thing was frozen. We got pictures of me standing in the middle of the pond! When we got back, it was my turn to clean the kitchen. I didn't want to leave our nice, warm, cozy living room. It had to be done, though. It was Neo's turn to do the dishes. Well, the pipe in the kitchen (in our house) was frozen! Once daddy got the pipe unfrozen, we found out the dishwasher thingamogijet was frozen. Once daddy got the dishwasher unfrozen, me and Neo got dressed as if we were going out side. I had to help him do the rest of the dishes by hand. It was really cold!!! All this makes me really think about the people no house, not really much clothes, no food, and no money to buy such things. And then I think "I'm still extremely blessed!....even to have to have a blanket!"
All of you who have a warm house and blanket, Don't take it for granted!
